Which winter words are hidden?
Snowflake, snowman, mittens, scarf, sled, icicle, blizzard, igloo, frost, cocoa, penguin, skates, fireplace, blanket, hibernate, earmuffs, snowball and chilly. Each puzzle uses ten of them and rotates the bank, so every grid in a class set of twelve is different.
Is it a Christmas word search?
No, and that is deliberate. The list sticks to snow, ice, warm clothes and animals that hibernate, so it still fits in January and February, when holiday puzzles feel out of date, and in classrooms that keep holiday content out. For Santa and reindeer, use the Christmas word search instead.
