Mazes · Easy
Easy mazes are small grids — usually 8 to 12 cells across — with wide corridors, few dead ends and a single clear route from start to finish. They are the right first maze for ages 3 to 6: a child can hold the path with a crayon without getting lost. Every maze below is free to print as a vector PDF on Letter or A4, and each one includes a separate answer-key page.
3–6 years (preschool and kindergarten)
Pencil control, hand–eye coordination and the first spark of logical planning.
Use one easy maze as a calm-start activity while you take the register. The wide paths suit children still developing a tripod grip, and the answer key lets a teaching assistant check work without hovering.
Each puzzle is generated from a stable seed and downloads as a true vector PDF with its answer key — Letter or A4, print at 100%. Free for classroom and commercial use — see the licence. How the answer keys work

Make unlimited easy mazes — pick a size, hit generate, print. Every maze is unique and comes with its answer key.
Two things: a small grid and a lot of 'braiding'. Braiding means we open up dead ends after generating the maze, so there are several ways through instead of long trapping corridors. Our easy preset runs a 10×10 recursive-backtracker maze and then opens roughly half of its dead ends, which keeps the route forgiving while still feeling like a real puzzle.
Each download is a true vector PDF sized exactly to US Letter or A4 with a half-inch (15 mm on A4) safe margin, so nothing falls into the non-printable edge of a home inkjet. Print at 100% scale — do not let the printer 'fit to page', which shrinks the lines. The walls are drawn at a weight that stays legible even on cheap paper.
Yes. Every PDF is two pages: the puzzle first, then the same maze with the solution path drawn through it in red. The key is generated from the same seed as the puzzle, so it always matches. Print the key separately and keep it at the front of the class, or fold it behind the puzzle for self-checking.
Easy mazes suit ages 3 to 6. The grids are 8–12 cells wide with braided, low-dead-end paths so a preschooler can follow a route with a crayon without getting stuck.
Yes — every maze is free to download and print for home or classroom use, with no signup and no email gate. The answer key is included on page two of each PDF.
Yes. Each puzzle has a Letter and an A4 button. Both are exact-size vector PDFs with a safe print margin, so they come out crisp at 100% scale.
Open the maze generator, choose the Easy preset, and click generate as many times as you like. Every maze gets a unique seed, so you will never print the same one twice.
